Easy Protein Assay Reagent     (catalog EPA005)

The Assay Reagent is based on the principle of Bradford method.  Proteins bind to Coomassie Brilliant Blue in an acidic solution and absorb the light at 595 nm wavelength.  The assay reagent is shipped and stored as the 5 x concentrated solution (500 ml) for measurement of 12500 samples using 96-well plates or 2500 samples using 1 ml cuvettes for light absorbance reading.  The protein concentration measurement range is 0.01 mg /ml to 1 mg / ml with a linear range between 0.01 to 0.15 mg /ml.  Commercially available BSA can be used as a protein standard.
